Advice for renting a sailboat

Sailing holidays

Sailing holidays are no longer the special privilege of the rich. We can compare yacht charters or sailing holidays to renting a more luxurious apartment. The only difference is the variety of views that a sailboat offers every day and not to mention that you are only a step away from the sea. But the most important thing is that you have treated yourself to a true adventure.

Yacht charter period

The standard period for a yacht charter is a week, which in charter jargon means that you take over your sailboat on Saturday afternoon and return it on Saturday morning. Check in is usually in the afternoon, between 4-5 p.m., and check out is between 8-9 a.m. Sometimes you have to bring the vessel to its home base a day before the official check out.

Yacht charter prices

The prices of yacht charters depend mostly on the date you wish to rent a sailboat. The sailing season starts in April and ends in November. It all depends on the weather. The warmer it is the more inviting the sea is and quite the opposite with cold weather.

Yacht charter process

A yacht charter does not require a visit to a travel agency or a marina. You can do all the necessary steps online. We offer more than 3,000 vessels. You can choose among locations in the Adriatic, Mediterranean and elsewhere around the world.

Hire a skipper

If you don’t have a license, this does not mean that a sailboat or yacht charter is off limits. You only need a skipper, a person who will sail the sailboat or drive the motor boat instead of you. If you don’t know one, you can simply hire one.

Yacht charter booking

After selecting the appropriate motor yacht, sailing boat or catamaran, you have to book it. You pay 50% of the charter costs and booking costs (€15 on application) and your booking is confirmed. On basis of your confirmation of the offer, we will issue a pro forma invoice for booking the vessel.
